Anchor watch PRO is a position logger, remote instant message or email alarm and sound alarm and it monitors the devices current location and informs you if the location of the device changes too far away from the set anchor. In that case, it will sound an alarm and optionally send an message to another phone via instant messaging or email.Please try free version of the app before buying this one to test if all functions are supported by your phone.Please know that the performance and accuracy of the Anchor watch application depends on the hardware and software of the used device. If you have bad reception, please move the device to a location that has better satellite reception!Because this application uses GPS to monitor movement, it will consume battery a bit faster than normally. We suggest you charge your device while using the app, although its not necessary and the impact on battery life strongly depends on the specific device! Started with the free app, and had many problems, even trying to turn off app seemed impossible, so I thought, well it's free so don't expect much. So I purchased the Pro app, well, I am just as disappointed in the Pro app as I was in the free app. I have moved on to find a better app, that has better instructions. Anchor Watch Pro is a Big disappointment.
I have a garmin watch linked to my phone. This app buzzes the watch every 2 seconds regardless of anchor status
10-23-21 Pretty decent app, but how do you "quit" the program? This most recent version does not mimic this request as your posted video does here. UPDATE 3-10-22 Thanks for finally getting back to us on how to quit the app. May I suggest posting a new vid on how this is done in your latest version as not to confuse new users. Upgraded to five stars.
In Android 11, you only have an option to have the GPS allowed while using the app. It appears as though the feature to have GPS on all the time needs to be added by the developers. Very frustrating to frequently lose GPS signal if not on the app and plugged in!
Keeps my boat safe while at anchor. Easy to use and flexible
Very reliable and versatile. You really do have to figure out the settings that will keep it running (disable "optimization", maybe keep the screen on and the device plugged in to a charger, etc).
Does exactly what it should and the remote notifications is very usefull!

The best anchor alarm app that I have found. 80% solution and if feel comfortable relying on it while asleep but could be more intuitive with user interface and have the ability to save boat tracking from each anchor position. I love the fact in a dark stormy night with gale force winds I can look at my swing track over time and confirm I'm not dragging.
